Norway Day 7

On our last day in Norway we took a funicular up the mountain for a wonderful day in Bergen.  Surprisingly, it was one of the nicest, sunniest, clearest days we had on our whole trip.  The views were amazing, and we enjoyed people watching.  There are many nature trails at the top, but unfortunately I had lost nearly all my steam at this point in our trip.

After we came down the mountain we caught the cutest little ferry to the other side of the wharf.  I wanted to visit the aquarium and see all the cute animals.  It was pretty far away from the other touristy stuff, but we were glad that we went.  Patrick enjoyed watching the snakes being fed, while I stepped out for that one.  I think that for both of us our favorite things were the seals and penguins.  While we were there we caught the seal show, but for some reason one of the seals was being stubborn and didn't want to perform.  I figure that maybe he just had stage fright, because after the crowd dispersed the seals both wanted to perform.

This was our last day in Norway, and we savored every minute of it.  Our week here was simply amazing, and we were so happy that we had the opportunity to go.  The people in Norway were so active, fit, and effortlessly cool.  The scenery was breathtaking and so much like Alaska, it made my heart hurt.  After this, our first babymoon, we've decided that a babymoon will be a must for every baby we may be blessed with hereafter.  So Grandparents, get your babysitting skills ready!
