15 Weeks

I didn't start taking belly pictures until this past week.  I didn't think that I looked all that pregnant until then.  I probably should have taken the pictures anyway so that I could compare them, even if it was just for me.  Oh well, it's too late for that now.

This past weekend we went to a popular agriturismo for lunch, about 40 minutes away.  Our friends parents were in town and they asked if we wanted to come along.  A chance for a pregnant, food lover to eat?  Yes, please!  It was a beautiful (and very hot) day, the food was wonderful and the company was even better.  While out in the countryside we decided to take a few 15 week photos.  I'm hoping that since we plan on doing some traveling in the near future we'll be able to take some cool belly shots from across Europe.

Here's the first one:
The sign reads '15 Weeks'

Most of Sicily is agricultural.  Because of the nutrient rich soil from the volcano it produces beautiful produce.  The Navy base is surrounded by fields of artichokes, greens, and orange orchards.  Shepard's also take their flocks of sheep from field to field to graze.  And they often use the road as a way for transportation.  Sometimes this means having to stop completely on the road to let the sheep walk around you.  The herders are weathered old men, that have likely been doing this most of their lives.  As you sit stopped on the road the sheep surround your car on their trek to the next field.  They get so close that you can often feel your car shaking.  This happened to us on the way to the agriturismo, so naturally we took a few photos.

  1. You should hold the sign with your back hand so you're not covering the belly! :) How awesome to get to take belly progression pics all over Europe. Congrats again!
